Flight Delays and Cancellations
|
The departure time in the
timetable is the time when the gate of the plane
cabin is closed after boarding, not the actual
take-off time.
Flights may be delayed or cancelled due to
weather conditions, plane components breakdown,
air traffic control, delay of previous flights,
problems with flight control, and other factors
(such as unscheduled maintenance or repair by
overseas plane manufacturers, fire drills,
security check, computer crash, ground
operation, problems with the runway and other
related facilities). If you check-in within the
stipulated time (30 minutes before departure for
domestic flights, for example) or you have
finished choosing the seat number, you can ask
the airlines to arrange a flight with the
departure time closest to that of the original
flight or the flights of other airlines in the
event of aforesaid situations. |
