Ocean Melody History of Human Aviation

Ocean Melody

Penghu is always associated with “silver anchovies”.  A school of enlarged silver anchovies looks like joyful musical notes floating in the airport lobby.  The shiny colors feel like the melody of the ocean and the vigorous energy denotes the natural culture and the island spirit of Penghu.

History of Human Aviation

What do you know about planes apart from the Wright brothers?  Come to our Culture Gallery and you will have a better understanding of the history of human aviation.

The banyan tree at the exit of the arrival lobby reminds tourists of the famous Tongliang Great Banyan of Penghu, which forms an interesting contrast with the modern architecture of the airport.  Take A seat under the tree with yellow lighting and you will enjoy the coolness and relaxation. Underwater Trail at Magong Airport?

No.  It is the wall painting found in the internal departure lounge, which creates the vivid feeling of an underwater world.  When you come to our airport, do come here for a shot!

The Beauty of Aragonite Penghu Prison – The Rehabilitated’s Exhibition

The Beauty of Aragonite

Aragonite is a rare mineral found in the pores and gaps of porous basalt.  Excellent aragonite is dark green or dark brown and it has beautiful concentric circular veins after polishing, called the eye of aragonite.  It is only found in Sicily of Italy and Penghu, with the former having a poorer quality.  When you come to Penghu, do have a look at it, the pride of Taiwan!

Full View of Magong Airport

Magong Airport is in the design of a plane.  The circular skylight in the middle comes from the head of the cockpit, whereas the wings on the two sides are adorned with engine-like decorations, giving it the look of a flying plane to passionately welcome tourists worldwide.

Wind Talking

Penghu is the homeland of the wind, a place blessed by nature.  As the “Wind talking” may be the first thing you see after leaving Magong Airport, the creator wishes to create a visual image of Penghu here to attract passers-by and tourists.
